Dr Hannah Bashforth is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist, specialising in medical psychology, chronic pain, birth trauma, and psychological trauma. She has worked in psychological medicine and pain services across the North West for over 17 years, including:
Research Lead (8 years) – The Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery
Lead Clinical Psychologist for Psychological Trauma (PTSD) (4 years) – ICU services, large Manchester NHS Trust
Dr Bashforth is Academic Director of the University of Liverpool Clinical Psychology Doctoral Programme and actively contributes to research groups focusing on pain and birth trauma. She is widely published in peer-reviewed journals and is a regular speaker at national and international conferences.
She is also currently an External Examiner for the Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology at the University of East London (UEL).
